on our local issues & candidates.

Members of the Board of Supervisors put Proposition H on the ballot without any hearings, discussion or analysis of its impact on our elections.

Proposition H would cancel our 2023 election for Mayor, District Attorney, Treasure and Sheriff, and move those offices to the Presidential year ballot. 

Rather than allowing us to focus attention on the local offices and measures that impact us directly, Proposition H would bury these important races far down the 2024 Presidential ballot.

Our local candidates and measures deserve our undivided attention. They often have more impact on our lives and our city than presidential candidates do.

The Examiner newspaper said it well “You know, what would really be great is if this ballot were several pages longer with more consequential issues and races to consider.”
